The 6 Benefits Of SchlickArt Video Networking

What’s SchlickArt Video Networking? Here are 6 benefits of the networking group you didn’t even know existed.

When we were planning to launch the Video side of SchlickArt Photo & Video Productions, we thought long and hard about how to help our future clients get over their fear of the camera. It’s something that affects all of us, and it can stand in our way of doing what’s best for our businesses and ourselves.

So how do we help bring out your best self on camera? Well, one product we offer is designed to do just that.

What’s SchlickArt Video Networking?

SchlickArt Video Networking is a monthly video session that’s hosted much like a networking group. The group, which is limited to five members, meets each month at SchlickArt Studios. Each member takes their turn in front of the camera, while the others provide encouragement, cheers and supportive feedback.

And we’ve had some incredible success. Our Video Networking members not only produce regular monthly videos, but they are now on-camera rockstars who can jump in front of the lens, even on a moment’s notice.

Even better, our Video Networking members become friends and community partners who find new ways to work with and support each other.

So check out the different benefits of SchlickArt Video Networking to see if it’s right for you and your business.

The Benefits Of SchlickArt Video Networking

  1. Break Through Your Fear Of The Camera

Probably the biggest benefit of SchlickArt Video Networking is the regular experience you get in front of the camera. In fact, we’ve had members intentionally choose this process so they confront their fears and work through them.

While practice makes perfect in most endeavors, it also cures a fear of the camera when it comes to video. The more often you practice video in a comfortable setting, the more likely your next video will feel less scary.

  1. Grow With Feedback From Friends

One of the best parts about shooting video among friends is the positive energy and supportive feedback you receive throughout the process.

At the start of each SchlickArt Video Networking session, we have some time for planning, during which our members help each other work out their best message. You can troubleshoot problems and test out lines on fellow entrepreneurs.

Then, when it comes time for your shoot, you have real people who support you in the audience. Knowing there’s a friendly face in the audience can make all the difference when it comes to a confident and warm performance.

Even once your time in the spotlight is up, you’ll love hearing the compliments from your fellow group members as they share the things they liked about your video. In a setting like this, even the most camera-shy professionals come to see that the process of shooting video is easier than it seems.

  1. Make Your Elevator Pitch Live Forever

Before video marketing, your elevator pitch would only get as much exposure as the people who stood in front of you. Unless you had the budget for a TV commercial, the success of your pitch was dependent on your hustle — and a very time-consuming and limited one at that.

With video, however, the reach of your elevator pitch is limitless. In fact, you could be pitching people you’ve never met while you sleep. Your basic introduction about your business will love online forever. Take Sharon Brubaker’s video, for example. Not everyone knows what an Advanced Certified Grief Recovery Specialist does — this video helps people find out whenever they want.

  1. Correct Misconceptions About Your Business

One of the best advantages of video is that it catches people’s attention — especially if video is new to your marketing plan. You see, if people aren’t used to seeing you on video, it’s sure to catch their attention. That means you have a unique opportunity to correct some of the common misconceptions people have about your business.

For example, take this video by Donna Winges, owner of Back To Balance Acupuncture. Sometimes, insurance can be a barrier between Donna and her patients. She might need to have a tough conversation about insurance plans that don’t actually provide the coverage her patients expected. By explaining the pros and cons of insurance, and how patients can use it at her practice, Donna takes control of that conversation and informs her audience before they walk in the door.

  1. Feature A Product Or Service No One Knows About

While you’ve captured some attention with video, you can also shine that spotlight on a new or little-known product/service. For most businesses, there’s that one product or service that most people don’t seem to know about. People are constantly saying, “Oh, I didn’t know you did that!” And you can’t seem to find a way to create enough awareness or education around it.

That’s where video can really help. Take Lisa Szeto for example. Her business, Pinned Up Bras & Lingerie, is well-known for expert bra fittings, mobile appointments and gorgeous lingerie. But it’s less-known for its new collection of well-fitting swimwear — until, that is, she released this video.

  1. Bring A Guest For A Video Testimonial

Inviting a guest to your SchlickArt Video Networking session to shoot a testimonial is one of the best ways to take advantage of your time and market your business. We all know word of mouth is one of the most valuable forms of marketing. This puts your clients’ positive testimonials on video, so word of mouth can catch fire in the online world, too.

And you can even have fun while doing it! Check out this hilarious testimonial for Pinned Up Bras & Lingerie by improv actor Heather Stewart. She inspires her audience to support Pinned Up with a few jokes and a whole lot of laughter.
