Back when we first started SchlickArt, I had a vision.
I’d been working with professional models in high fashion and glamour shoots for a boutique photography studio in the LA area, and I loved the type of work I was doing. But an idea was starting to find its way into my heart and my mind.
Why shouldn’t the women I love and cherish get to experience seeing their most beautiful selves, just like these models do? Why shouldn’t they get the glamour treatment when they have their photo taken?
As I worked with models more and more, I realized this experience didn’t exist for most women — and I wanted to be the one to provide it.
I wanted to create the same glamorous, luxury photo shoots — with model quality results — for real, regular women. And SchlickArt was born.
As we got SchlickArt off the ground, I quickly honed in on my favorite part of the job: boudoir.
From my experience, women have the most powerful transformation, and the most positive results, when they shoot boudoir photography. When you show your most vulnerable side to the camera, and end up loving the way it looks in pictures, it can change you in a pretty big way. It can create a lasting sense of confidence in a way that few other experiences can.
That’s why I love boudoir. It completes my vision. It helps real women see their most beautiful selves, in their most vulnerable moments.
Today, as I celebrate my 36th birthday, I want to return to that mission with a little celebration …
