In this close-up, Brian Koegle shares the video strategy that worked for Poole Shaffery & Koegle – as well as what he’s got planned next.
When Brian Koegle first reached out to us for video back in 2017, we couldn’t have been more excited. Not only is Poole Shaffery & Koegle one of our community’s most philanthropic firms, but Brian is an absolute expert in his field. He’s a true professional, and he makes complex, arduous topics sound interesting and easy to understand. Plus he delivers his expertise with one take every time.
Meet Brian Koegle
Brian Koegle is arguably the most well-known and well-loved employment lawyer in the Santa Clarita Valley – and for good reason. Throughout his career, he’s been fiercely dedicated to protecting and educating his community, clients, friends and local organizations whenever he’s given the opportunity. He’s sat on many of the nonprofit boards that make Santa Clarita the incredible community it is today, and he provides crucial information and support to SCV business owners through his various speaking engagements and presentations. Today, as a Partner of Poole Shaffery & Koegle, Brian is a leading force of the beloved local law firm that’s made its mission to protect this community and the people who help build it.
Behind the Scenes: Educating Through Video
“The cornerstone of what we do as a firm is provide education and information for business owners,” Brian explained, “so they can make fully informed decisions.”
That means, for Poole Shaffery & Koegle, their sole marketing strategy is to share vital information and promote a genuine understanding among their audiences. By helping business owners navigate the complex legal issues facing them, Brian and his firm demonstrate their expertise while also making a positive impact in the community.
When they added video to that strategy, however, it took their results to a whole new level.
“We have traditionally done very well reaching our dedicated client base through various marketing techniques, but the video series we did with SchlickArt was resoundingly successful for us,” Brian shared. “It brought a whole new set of eyes that, otherwise, we never would have reached before. We have found that sharing education via video was far more successful than any article or white paper we’ve ever written in the past.”
Brian’s Tip: Employ A Smart Strategy
So the verdict is in: Video can have incredibly powerful results in local marketing; however, there must be an intentional strategy behind it, in order to see the kind of results Poole Shaffery & Koegle have enjoyed.
“We wanted to give business owners information that is absolutely powerful through a medium we usually don’t use, and video made for a very successful delivery tool because it was the foundation of an expansive digital marketing campaign.”
The Poole Shaffery & Koegle video series has been shared on the firm’s website, YouTube channel, social media platforms and even through the Santa Clarita Valley Business Journal e-edition. With one set of videos, the firm created a huge community presence online.
This year, they plan to do it all again with a new, updated SchlickArt video series.
“The law changes every year, so we need to have new content and new information to share,” Brian explained. “But more importantly, it’s crucial that we share our firm’s story in order to renew our commitment to the communities we serve. This video series is another opportunity for us to impart some more wisdom and renew that commitment in a helpful way.”
