We’re getting personal with one of our favorite SchlickArt ladies. This Santa Clarita super mom is sharing her secrets to doing it all.
As photographers who cater specially to women, we see a lot of incredible, inspiring moms walk through our studio doors. They’re the kind of women who do it all and make it look easy.
One of those amazing women happens to be the beautiful Rachel Cleveland.
We always love working with Rachael Cleveland because she reminds us how much you can accomplish with hard work, determination and a good dose of positivity. This super mom is a beautiful example of what it looks like to build a successful career, raise a loving family, and still have time to take care of herself.
That’s why we wanted to celebrate her … and share her insight on what it takes to be a respected professional, community supporter, and all-around super mom.
Meet Rachael Cleveland
As a single mom to four beautiful girls, Rachael has a lot on her plate. Every day she focuses on being a good role model for her kids as she leads by example, and then she’s off to work to build her career as a successful Senior Loan Consultant at Augusta Financial. She also supports many local causes – from high school events to local nonprofits like Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital and Spotlight Arts Center.
Passionate in both her personal and professional life, Rachael cares deeply about the people in her life, and she never settles for anything less than her personal best.
Somehow she manages to do it all!
And that’s exactly why we asked her to share her wisdom, insights and Super Mom secrets with us!
A Single Mom Who Does It All
Rachael is one of those people who wakes up and gives 110% every day. She tries to accomplish as much as she can with her time, and her drive for growth and success is unstoppable.
“Enough is never enough. That’s what we’ve always said in my family, and I want to be that example,” Rachael explained. “I work hard because my kids and my success are my why. That’s why I work hard, take on a lot, and try to help others whenever I can.”
Her drive comes from her upbringing – but also from moments of hardship in her own life.
“After my divorce, all I wanted was to be able to maintain my kids’ home and lifestyle on my own,” Rachael explained. “And I wanted to look for the positive, to project positivity every day – because if you focus on the positive, then positive things happen. I swear everything just falls into place if you can stay focused on that.”
And that’s exactly what she strives to teach her girls every day.
“No matter how hard a situation is, you have what it takes to push through and build something better on the other side. That’s why I teach my girls to have a good work ethic, to treat people equally, and most importantly to take care of yourself. I always want them to be self-sufficient and to rely on their own inner strength and capabilities.”
And when it comes to her Super Mom secrets, she says the key to doing it all isn’t a secret at all.
“I don’t think there’s a magic answer or a right way of doing it,” Rachael explained. “You just wake up and go. You can’t overthink everything. Just focus on the positivity and do your best – because you never know who is looking to you as a leader. Everyone is a role model to someone.”
Capture It Before It’s Gone
One of the most important things to remember about being a Super Mom is that these days won’t last forever.
“Life is so fast. My oldest is about to graduate high school, and these days are precious,” Rachael shared.
That’s exactly why Rachael thought it was so important to capture her girls with a SchlickArt Family Is Fabulous Session.
“I wanted to capture all of us together as a keepsake for the future. It’s so important to have professional pictures, and capturing those memories was amazing,” Rachael shared. “I’m only going to have the opportunity to do this so many times before they’re out of the house.”
In addition to her family portraits, Rachael also took the time to capture herself on camera with a couple SchlickArt Professional Portraits Sessions.
“I needed to brand myself and have better consistency, and I wanted someone who knows the posing – and how to capture you at your very best. It was a big deal to get those headshots, and it reminded me that it’s also important to focus on you sometimes, too.”
The experience itself was important to Rachael, too.
“At SchlickArt, they make everyone feel comfortable. They make me feel comfortable. They make my kids feel comfortable,” Rachael explained. “It can be hard to take pictures and feel good about yourself, but Lindsay and Brian are so good at what they do – they just make it feel easy.”
