Do you have big ideas for photography or video? Here’s how we turn your vision into reality – with the SchlickArt style you expect.
As creatives and as people, there’s nothing we love more than big dreams and crazy ideas.
Bring us a grand vision, and we’ll bring you our best work.
Your passion is what fuels us.
Whether you’re chasing big marketing goals or looking for the perfect way to capture your family’s unique love, we are driven by your vision.
That’s why we wanted to share a few examples that show how we turn vision into reality every day.
Bringing Your Vision To Life
If you’ve ever worked with SchlickArt before, then you know we have every detail planned out to the very last shot we take. Our business runs on systems, and that’s how we can confidently produce the same level of quality and experience with every shoot and every client.
But we also leave room for play.
For us, that means listening to your dream visions and working hard to bring them to life. In fact, our favorite type of creative play is taking a client’s unique vision and making it even more magical and fun than you ever expected.
That’s the kind of shoot we live for.
We might think of a surprise pose to keep in our back pocket, or we’ll have an idea or two to help you make your visual marketing even more effective.
We can’t help it! If you’re passionate about your shoot, then we’re working behind the scenes to think of every way possible to over-deliver.
That’s how seriously we take your vision, and that’s how dedicated we are to bringing it to life.
Here are a few examples of the visionary shoots we’ve loved being a part of.
Setting You Apart
We love a vision with personality, so when Martha Aguilera came to us with her latest photography idea, we knew it was going to be a hit.
You see, Martha was ready to make a big announcement: She had recently joined Re/Max of Santa Clarita as a Realtor!
While she needed new headshots for her marketing materials, she didn’t want to do just a standard headshots session. She wanted to stand out by showcasing her personality from the very beginning.
That’s when Martha told us about her latest marketing project. It was an original graphic art piece that showed Martha sitting on a “For Sale” sign, holding a Re/Max balloon. It perfectly captured her fun and approachable spirit, and it was the perfect foundational piece for her brand.
So we decided that, for her photo shoot, we would do more than just the typical headshot, and we’d recreate her graphic art piece on camera. It was a perfect way to make sure her branding was consistent, while also keeping it uniquely Martha.
Matching Your Goals
When Keith Renno came to us with a need for social media content, he had the beginning of his vision already mapped out. He wanted to let people in on his daily life, so they could see what it’s like to work with him. By showcasing both his home in Ventura and his work life in Santa Clarita, he could show a more personal side while maintaining his local presence in the SCV.
That’s why Keith’s main objective was to create engaging, everyday marketing photography that could be used exclusively for social media. While we delivered exactly that, we also saw an opportunity to create some feel-good social media video, as well. After all, social media platforms share video reels more than any other content these days. So we thought short and engaging video content would be perfect for his social media goals.
When we were planning Keith’s shoot, we offered to shoot some video at the same time Lindsay was taking photos. We could capture twice the content without Keith even noticing the difference. Then, he could review the content and decide if he liked any of the videos. If not, no harm done.
It turns out Keith not only used the video for his social media, but he also used some of the clips as marketing for his Airbnb properties, which is where we shot.
By taking Keith’s marketing goals as seriously as Keith takes them himself, we were able to offer Keith added value that matched his goals … and then some.
Capturing Your Legacy
When Nora Hall reached out to our Junior Photographer, Sonja Gilhuys, we knew it was going to be a fantastic shoot. But when we heard about Nora’s vision for her family photography session, we have to admit – we may have grabbed the tissues.
Inspired by a set of vintage family photos that had been in the family for years, Nora envisioned creating a huge gallery wall in her home, where she could showcase her family portraits. She wanted to give those photos a coveted spot in her house, where she could always see them. She also wanted to add to them.
Nora explained how much it meant to her to have these photos of her parents and family members, so she wanted to make sure that her kids, one day, would have the same cherished images of their own parents.
Working together with Sonja, Nora dreamed up a family shoot that would take place at their home and match the overall aesthetic of the vintage images. Most importantly, she wanted to capture the unique love and playful interactions that made her family so special.
Today Nora displays her portraits – new and old – on her gallery wall, where generations of smiling faces are kept safe for decades to come.
Personalizing Your Session
If you know Lindsay, then you know her favorite thing to shoot is boudoir. So when her friend, Jenny Ketchepaw, wanted to do a special boudoir shoot, two of Lindsay’s favorite things were coming together. And in true Jenny style, she had an incredible idea.
Jenny wanted to do a special boudoir shoot for her husband, Tim, and she wanted to personalize it as much as possible. She wanted to choose details that Tim would find sexy.
That’s when Jenny thought of doing her boudoir shoot on his gorgeous pink vintage car. Not only was that car like his baby, but it was the perfect color for a flirty, fun boudoir session that would really make Tim’s jaw drop.
While most SchlickArt boudoir shoots are held inside the studio for privacy, protection and comfort, we knew a car wasn’t going to fit inside. 😂 So we carefully chose an outdoor location that would make the metallic pink really pop, while also ensuring as much privacy as possible.
Once we figured out the details of the session, it practically shot itself. Jenny’s striking natural beauty paired with the sleek and classic lines of the car was absolute fire. And, though we had tons of fun shooting it, we daresay Tim enjoyed it more!
