Well, 2017 has been a beautiful, crazy year with lots of changes and SO MUCH to be thankful for! From a growing business and home to incredible support from family and friends, we’re more grateful than ever to call Santa Clarita our home.

For us, family is at the heart of it all. Brian and I celebrated 10 years of marriage in February, and our amazing partnership continues to be the most important thing in our lives. I am so thankful that we have each other through the ups and downs and crazy changes — and we never miss a chance to celebrate our commitment to each other!

For our anniversary, we visited New York City for the first time, eating and drinking our way through the city as we took in all the sights. We also visited Mammoth Lakes for Brian’s birthday, getting lost in the surreal vistas and really getting a chance to unwind. Next year, we look forward to more traveling together, as we check more gorgeous cities off our bucket list!

This year was also an incredible reminder of the support we have from our family and friends. We bought our first house this year, and our circle of friends and family came out to show their support, offer their help and celebrate this milestone with us. Whether our parents were helping us make the house feel like home, or our friends were unpacking boxes while they made us lunch, we really felt the love! Our new home is everything we’d hoped it would be, and we’re so excited to open it to all of you!

Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without the generosity and support from our clients and this community.

We hit five years in business in 2017, and we can’t believe what an incredible ride it has been! SchlickArt launched a gorgeous new website, thanks to the great minds at Stark Social Media Agency, and we expanded our team to include Kirsten Quinn Smith, who has helped us share what we do through The SchlickArt Blog and regular newsletters. We are so grateful for these wonderful partners and friends.

We also took on the task of chairing JCI Santa Clarita’s 40 Under Forty Gala this year, which was a huge undertaking but an incredibly rewarding experience. The Jaycees helped us get our start in Santa Clarita, so to be part of the event in such a big way was incredibly meaningful to us. Of course, we couldn’t have done it without Co-chair Alex Hafizi. He was a rockstar and has become such a great friend throughout this entire process. To all the other sponsors and volunteers who helped us make 40 Under Forty a success, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

As we look ahead to next year, we are filled with more excitement than ever before.

It’s been more than a year since we first launched our Business Video Sessions, featuring amazing partners like Newhall Refinery, Vance Wealth and Lawn Kings. This has been such a fun, growing part of our business, and it’s only just the beginning! In 2018, you can look out for new video marketing from AskAmanda Small Business Solutions, as well as Stark Social Media Agency and more!

We also have a couple surprises up our sleeve for the New Year. You can look forward to a new twist on style when it comes to our Signature SchlickArt Headshots, as well as more video opportunities and, of course, even steamier boudoir.  

We didn’t think anything could top 2016. And then 2017 came along. From the bottom of our hearts, we THANK YOU for your support and friendship. Have a wonderful holiday, filled with family and happiness, and we’ll see you in the New Year!
