To our SchlickArt friends,

Gratitude has never been more top of mind for us, as a family and as a community, than it is right now.

Especially in the toughest of times, we’re reminded to cherish the relationships in our lives, roofs over our heads, and all the love and support that’s sent our way every day. That’s why we couldn’t be happier to take a break this week to celebrate Thanksgiving.

As we pull our loved ones closer, however, we’re also reminded to take stock of the many wonderful things that have happened over the past year. There is so much to be grateful for.

In the spring, for example, a dream of ours that was 7 years in the making finally became a reality, when SchlickArt grew large enough to support both of us — and Brian came to work for SchlickArt full-time. While he learned so much during his 14 wonderful years at Princess Cruises, we were so thrilled to have him home, bringing our video vision to life and pouring more time and energy into the community we call home.

We also launched a new online database for Santa Clarita Event Photography, which includes photography from all the nonprofit events we’ve shot since 2016. This was another idea that we’d been dreaming about for a while, and it took lots of hard work from Stark Social, Heather Stewart and the rest of our team to make this happen. Now, the community has a place to download photos from nonprofit events as a way of promoting their fundraisers and remembering our community’s wonderful volunteers for years to come.

While we were shooting a wedding for our dear friends John and Denise Lite, we also made a connection with one of our longtime mentors and photography role models, Sue Bryce. Thanks to Laura Seguin of Moments 2 Memories Events, Sue even gave us a shout-out that literally made our year.

Recently, Brian was recognized for his work, as well, when he was appointed Chairman of the SCV Chamber of Commerce’s new Small Business Council. We consider it an honor and a privilege to have Brian support the community in this new capacity, and we’re so excited to see how we can help you achieve your business dreams in the coming year.

We celebrated milestones at home, as well, from celebrating Lindsay’s brother’s 40th birthday in the str

eets of New Orleans, to renovating our backyard thanks to the help and incredible work of of Lawn Kings

More than anything, however, this year was huge for another reason. Whether it comes in the form of a handwritten card or good conversation over a gin cocktail at The Old Town Junction, we’ve been stunned by the way our friends, clients and community partners have shown us love and support this year.

Every year, we think: “How could things get better than this?”

Sure, we have big dreams and hopes for the future. But we feel so much love from you guys already, that if everything stayed exactly the same, we could be happy for ages this way.

So when you continue to show us the support, love and kindness to make these giant, crazy dreams happen, well, we’re humbled by your generosity.

It’s you who make our dreams come true. And we never forget it.

So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for cheering us on. Thank you for making us believe in ourselves a little more each day.

We will continue to serve you and this community in the hopes that, one day, we will repay the love this city has shown us.

We wish you all a safe, loving Thanksgiving full of warmth and gratitude.

We are forever grateful to be a part of your lives.

With love and endless gratitude,

Brian & Lindsay Schlick
