The COVID-19 pandemic has produced a lot of heroes: health care workers, first responders, teachers, grocery store workers, community volunteers and more. But this outbreak has also made a hero out of every single parent who’s working hard to keep their children safe, educated and happy – despite incredible odds and months of uncertainty. There’s never been more demands on parents, yet every single day they rise.

And we know it’s taking its toll.

Because we know moms, we know they’re also giving themselves a hard time while trying to do everything perfectly and holding themselves to impossible standards. And that’s where we want to help.

5 Reasons All Moms Need A Boudoir Shoot In Santa Clarita

1. Get out of the house.

Boudoir shoot, Boudoir photo shoot, SchlickArt boudoir, Santa Clarita boudoir, Santa Clarita boudoir photographer, Santa Clarita boudoir photography, Los Angeles boudoir, Los Angeles boudoir photographer, Los Angeles boudoir photographyOf course, health and safety is the number one priority right now – above all else. But second to that, one of the most important things we can do for ourselves right now is (safely) get out of the house. After months of the same scenery, the same problems and the same arguments, it’s starting to feel like we’re living the same day over and over again. And that kind of stagnation can make you feel like you’ve lost the ability to grow, to move forward, to be more than just the mom who exists for others.

When you come to SchlickArt Studios, you’re not only leaving your environment, but you’re entering a space that’s designed – from floor to ceiling – to make you feel good. Beautiful natural light floods the entire studio. Upbeat music makes you feel like dancing. And Lindsay’s friendly (masked) face is there to remind you of all the reasons you’re amazing.

2. Peace and quiet.

As a boudoir client, you’ll have the entire studio all to yourself – so revel in it. There are no screaming kids, dinners to be made or spouses to care for. It’s just you, some beautiful lingerie and a gorgeous, sparkling white bed.

One of the beautiful things about a boudoir shoot is its whole purpose is to get you to stop and think about what you deserve. You deserve to feel beautiful. You deserve to pamper yourself when you’re running way past empty. You deserve to do something that reminds you of your value as a woman. By giving yourself space and time, you can begin to return to those feelings again. Even if it’s just for one afternoon, you get the space to just be you

3. Sit and be served.

Now, if there’s any argument to be made about what moms need after months of quarantine, it’s that they deserve to sit and be served for a little while. Moms are spread so thin as they keep the house safe and clean while simultaneously trying to secure income and serve as a homeschool teacher. And that’s just the bare minimum!

But when you walk into SchlickArt Studios, you are the one being served. You are the queen of your boudoir shoot! This is your day to feel and create the way you want. From the moment you arrive, we’ll be serving you Champagne by the glass and handfuls of handmade chocolate truffles. Add a fan in your hair, and it’s basically a dream come true. Whatever you want, we’ll make it happen at SchlickArt Studios – so you don’t even have to lift a finger.

4. Feel beautiful.

It’s day after day of sticky hands, constant spills and schedules so busy your hairbrush starts to collect dust. While we know you’re absolutely beautiful without a trace of makeup – and even two-day-old hair – we also understand that it doesn’t necessarily feel beautiful to spend your days that way.

And, honey, feeling beautiful is really, truly important. There’s a reason good hair days are good days: When you feel beautiful, the world looks beautiful. Consider a boudoir shoot, and the photos that follow, to be your best hair day yet. They’ll show you a kind of beauty that changes the way you see yourself – and that can change so much more

5. Remember who you are when you’re not Mom.

We all lose our way every once in a while. We don’t feel like ourselves. Things that used to feel easy somehow feel harder. And the weight of the world gets heavier on our shoulders. When the world gets you down, the only thing you can do is take action. In my experience, the actions that truly help are often the unexpected or surprising ones. If your inner goddess has gone out to lunch, try something different. Surprise yourself. She’ll come back around to see what’s up.

To do something that’s just for you, you have to think you’re worth it. And once the shoot starts – and you begin to hear the clicks of the camera – you really start to believe it. It triggers a tidal wave of positive change within you that manifests in big waves and small ripples throughout your life — as much or as little as you’ll invite. It encourages you to do more things that make you happy. It alleviates the guilt of doing things for yourself. It shows you and others that you’re willing to take a chance on yourself and your own happiness. And most importantly, it gives you new ways to love yourself, which we could all use a little more of in our lives. It’s an experience that can represent positive lessons and changes that are way bigger than the photos you hold in your hand — as long as you let it.

About Lindsay’s Photography for Women

With the mind of a businesswoman and the heart of an adventurer, Lindsay began to conceive of a different kind of Santa Clarita photography business. In her vision, stepping in front of the camera could be an empowering experience that gave her clients more than just a photograph — it would give people a new way of seeing themselves. With an eye for seeing the beauty in life and in others, Lindsay could use the camera to spread beauty – and SchlickArt’s boudoir shoot in Santa Clarita was born.
